Our plantation shutters are custom made and painted or stained after manufacture for an optimal finish.
With a strength and weight similar to Western Red Cedar, Paulownia provides an excellent material for your shutters – and one that is highly resistant to both water and fire. For areas that are constantly wet, however, we recommend PVC.
Basswood’s fine texture has made it a favourite among homeowners for a variety of applications. It is a suitable choice for staining, due to a consistent grain.
Created from PVC, these shutters come with an aluminium insert in each of its blades, the stile, and the top and bottom rail. This provides additional strength and toughness, while reducing bowing.
